SRH seamers strike early

After going for 17 runs in his and the team's first over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar came back strong for his second, where he had Shubman Gill caught at short cover, courtesy of a superb Rahul Tripathi catch.Sai Sudharshan, who impressed with 35 on debut, against the Punjab Kings, seemed to be in good nick, before Thangarasu Natarajan dismissed him with the aide of extra bounce.

Matthew Wade struggled to a-run-a-ball 19 before Umran Malik pinned him leg before wicket (LBW).

Manohar gets three lives

Abhinav Manohar went after virtually everything as soon as he came into bat, edging Malik for a couple of boundaries. He then top-edged Kumar for four before being reprieved by Aiden Markram off Natarajan. Manohar was on 21 then and he got two more chances before Tripathi finally showed how the rest of the team how to take a catch.

SRH start slow... again

The Sunrisers had an extremely sow start to the chase, managing just 11 runs off the first four overs. Kane Williamson survived an LBW shout as the on-field umpire deemed he was not out and even GT did not review. Williamson and Abhishek Sharma then shifted gears instantly, shoveling 31 runs off overs 5th and 6th.

Williamson and Pooran provide the finishing touches

After being well-settled on 46 off 41 balls, Williamson nonchalantly scooped Lockie Ferguson for a six. He crunched the next ball for four to bring up his half century, answering all his critics. SRH then suffered a tiny setback when Williamson was dismissed by his counterpart, Pandya. Nicholas Pooran, however, ensured there'd be no miracle, and finished the game off in style with a maximum off the first ball of the last over.
