KATHMANDU: Nepal has entered the semi-finals of SAFF Women’s Championship 2024.
Nepal defeated Sri Lanka 6-0 in the last group match today, to book a place in the last four.
As winner of Group B, Nepal will now play Group A runner-up India in the semi-finals to be held on Sunday.
In match held at local Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar this evening. Sabita Ranamagar gave Nepal the lead by scoring in the 8th minute of the game while Sabitra Bhandari (Samba) made it 2-0 in the 11th minute.
Similarly, in the 13th minute of the game, Rekha Paudel scored to make it 3-0 and in the 36th minute to give the hosts a 4-0 lead in the first half.
In the second half, Amisha Karki and Rashmi Kumari Ghising scored in the 47th minute and the 94th minute of the game respectively.
Meanwhile, Group A winner Bangladesh will face Group B runner-up Bhutan in the first semi-final also to be held on Sunday.
