It has been decided to lift the suspension of Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain of the Nepali national cricket team.
The meeting of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) held in Pokhara lifted the suspension imposed on Lamichhane.
The decision to suspend him was made by CAN after the accusation of rape. Lamichhane was released on a bail of 20 million rupees.
It was decided by the majority of CAN members to return to the game.
Meanwhile, despite the decision to release Sandeep's suspension, the Attorney General's Office filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Tuesday demanding that he be kept in pretrial detention and proceeds with the case.
