The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) has suspended the national team captain Sandeep Lamichhane.
A juvenile girl filed a rape complaint against him, and today, the District Court Kathmandu issued an arrest warrant against Sandeep.
According to Acting Secretary, Prashanth Vikram Malla, the performance committee meeting of CAN that was held today, September 8, Thursday, decided to suspend Sandeep from the national team.
Malla further stated that he is suspended because the court had already issued an arrest warrant.
