National para taekwondo coach Kabiraj Negi Lama has received the sixth dan certificate from the taekwondo headquarters Kukiwan. Nepal Taekwondo Association General Secretary Deepraj Gurung handed over the sixth dan certificate to Negi.
To get 6th Dan, must pass the 6th Dan grading from Nepal Taekwondo Association, send a video of poomse and sparring and write a thesis on a topic and send it to the headquarters in Korea. Negi said that He has written a thesis of Para Taekwondo in Nepal.
Negi has been managing the Nepali National Para Taekwondo Team since 2015.
When Para Taekwondo player Palesha Govardhan created history by winning two fights in Tokyo 2020 Para Olympics, Negi went to Tokyo as a coach.
Even when Nepal won 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze medal in Para Taekwondo at the Asian Youth Para Games in Bahrain in 2021, Negi was the team coach.
Under the training of Negi, Nepal won 1 bronze medal in the 8th World Para Taekwondo Championship in Turkey in 2019, and in the Riyadh 2022 World Grand Prix Final G-10 competition in Saudi Arabia, Srikan Ghising won a historic gold by defeating the players from Turkey, Mexico and Brazil who were ranked in the world.
Negi informed that Palesha Gorvadhan and Srijan Ghising have been training with him since 2015.
According to Negi, Palesha Gorvadhan and Srijan Ghising are currently ranked 7th in the world.
