After Santosh scored 111 runs, State 2 completed the victory target by scoring 255 runs in 41 overs at the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground, Kirtipur on Sunday. Santosh hit 14 fours and 3 sixes off 115 balls. He added 64 runs in 13 overs for the first wicket with Rohan Vick to give a good start to Provence 2.
Rohan hit six fours and scored 26 runs off 39 balls. Though Tritraj Das was out for 1 and Amit Yadav for 7, captain Vivek Yadav scored an unbeaten 86 to give State 2 the victory. Vivek hit six fours and seven sixes off 73 balls. Sunny Shah stayed not out on 9 runs. Tilak Bhandari of Bagmati took 2 wickets while Pratish GC and Prashant Mahat took 1 wicket each.
Earlier, after losing the toss in the half century of Swapnil Singh Adhikari and Bipin Shahi, Bagmati was all out for 253 runs in 49.3 overs. Before being dismissed in the second final over, Swapnil played 83 balls and scored 85 runs with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Opener Vipin also hit 6 fours and 1 six off 83 balls. Farid Khan and Vivek Magar were all out for 11, Prashant Mahat for 6, Pratik Shrestha for 15, Pratish GC for 9 and Gautam KC for 8. Puraj Dhungel of State 2 took 3 wickets for 33 runs in 10 overs with 1 maiden and Vivek, Gulshan Jha, Ajay Yadav and Pradip Paswan took 1-1 wickets each.
