Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has congratulated the Nepali national cricket team. Today, the first match between Nepal and Netherlands will be played in America. Lamichhane, who contributed to bringing Nepal to the T20 World Cup, was acquitted by the Appellate Court of Patan on the charge of rape, but he could not go to the World Cup because the American Embassy in Kathmandu refused to grant him a visa twice.
Lamichhane wrote on his Facebook page that "Sending all my wishes and love to this amazing bunch of guys. All the best team for the exciting journey ahead. Give your best and make all the Nepalese around the world proud. Jai Nepal."
