Hitoshi Sugai, a two-time world judo champion from Japan, came to Nepal and met with Nepalese judo players.
Suzuki Toshikazu, general secretary of NPO Judo, also came to Kathmandu from Japan. They were present at the Judo competition held at the Multiple Martial Art Center (MMAC) in Kathmandu. Young judo players from Nepal and Bhutan participated in the competition.
The MMAC was built in 2002 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Matsumoto City, Japan and Kathmandu City, and was jointly funded by Matsumoto City and the Government of Japan.
