The team successfully reached the summit at 12:30 p.m. NPT on 2 October 2023, just five days after crossing the Tibet border, as they were well acclimatised from their Manaslu expedition.
Mount Cho Oyu is the 6th highest mountain in the world, with an elevation of 8,201 metres above sea level, located on the Nepal-Tibet border 20 km west of Mount Everest in the Mahalangur range. Cho Oyu means โTurquoise Goddessโ in Tibetan.
