AOCN says flights will be suspended from tomorrow

Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday, June 21 Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOCN) draws a serious attention to the decision made by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.

The association has demanded a five-point solution to the long-term problem through a press conference and announced that regular flights will be suspended from Wednesday, June 22 if those demands are not addressed.

The association has demanded to withdraw all the increase in passenger service fee including landing, parking and navigation in the Airport Service Fee Regulation 2078 BS. Similarly, the association has demanded to provide space for long-term helipad for helicopter operation, hangar for maintenance and other physical infrastructures at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

At the press conference, the association made a five-point demand. The first demand made by the association is to withdraw all the increase in passenger service fee, landing, parking, navigation and other charges in the Airport Service Fee Regulations, 2078 BS and to restore it.

The second demand is to provide space for helipads for helicopter operations and hangars for maintenance at TIA.

The third demand states The provisions of the basis mentioned in the press release of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) on June 19 have been revoked by both airlines and helicopters.

At the end of the release, the association has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the association to the passenger, and the tourist alike.
