Department of Tourism has collected revenue of Rs. 22.90 million in 15 days. The department has started giving permission for climbing from September 4 and has collected revenue from Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Kanchanjunga, Kumbhakarna and Mariyang Himal climbing fees till Friday.
Out of these, the highest amount of Rs 18,099,720 was collected for Manaslu mountaineering fee, Rs 42,10,609 for Dhaulagiri, Rs 3,14,685 for Kanchenjunga and Rs 1,88,480 for Mariyang.
According to the department, a total of 227 climbers have taken permission to climb Mariyang Mountain, eight for Kanchenjunga, 40 for Dhaulagiri, five for Kambhakarna and 171 for Manaslu. This month, 171 climbers have taken permission to climb Manaslu Himal and the crowd has started gathering at the base camp.
