Senior tourist entrepreneur and Lumbini Development Trust goodwill ambassador Bikram Pandeykaji has a long history of working in the country of Nepal's tourism. He began his career in the tourist industry before to 1970 at Annapurna Mountaineering and Trekking, the adventure trekking section of Nepal's top travel company Yeti Travels.
In 1984, He got the opportunity to work on the Everest climbing expedition of women including Indian women mountaineer Bachendri Pal. During this expedition, he gathered experience by staying at Everest base camp. After that, his attachment to the mountain climbing field continued to grow. He organized several foreign mountain climbing expeditions.
He has held a number of other posts, such as vice president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association.
With his own initiative, he founded the Everest Marathon race, today well-known as a test event held in the highest region of the globe. It has been observed that tourists are staying longer in the Everest region as a result of the Everest marathon event. He is presently associated with Lumbini Development Trust as a goodwill ambassador.
The 2618th Great Renunciation Day was recently celebrated at Tilaurakot in ancient Kapilvastu, commemorating the day when Prince Siddhartha left his palace.
It was commemorated on that day to provide a glimpse of the episode in which Prince Siddhartha left his house at the stroke of midnight on Asar Purnima in search of enlightenment.
