Domestic and international flights have been affected due to incessant rain since last night. According to Tribhuvan International Airport, some flights have been diverted and some flights have been canceled due to reduced visibility due to incessant rain.
General Manager of the airport, Pratap Babu Tiwari, informed that air flights were affected due to low visibility due to rain.
According to him, the Air India flight from New Delhi has been diverted to Banaras, while the Air China and Sichuan Airlines flights from Tianfu, China have returned to Tianfu. In addition, he informed that other international flights are also generally affected.
According to the airport, Pokhara and Surkhet airports have not yet opened from Kathmandu and the Kathmandu-Tumlingtar air flight has been cancelled.
According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, rains are expected to continue across the country till Tuesday.
