According to Vice President-Sales of Jazeera Airways, Ravindran Bharathan, the airline expanded its network to offer destinations that also cater to communities that are not often served by direct routes from Kuwait to the Middle East. Tourists will now be able to enter the Terai area of Nepal and save almost a day of extra traveling. “The new service to the Gautam Buddha International Airport is a direct service to the gateway of Lumbini”, said Bharathan.

The service will also help boost tourism in Bhairahawa, a potential sector for economic development in Nepal. Rabi Chandra Singh, Chairman of Society International Travel Services, a part of the RR Group of companies said, “After 74 years of international flights based only in Kathmandu, this service will make a huge difference in the western part of Nepal.
