Manakamana opened after four months

Manakamana Temple in Gorakha district is opened to devotees after almost four months. The temple was closed since May 6 over the risk of COVID-19.

 Main priest of the temple, Insan Bahadur Thapa says, the devotees would be allowed to perform puja at the temple strictly following health safety protocols set by the government.

Similarly, another famous religious shrine of the district, the Kalika Temple situated at the Gorakha Durbar precincts has also been opened for the devotees from today. Manakamana cable car also started its operation from today.

 Deputy General Manager of Manakamana Visit Pvt Ltd, Ujjawal Sherchan, said that the cable car service has been brought into operation by adopting health safety guidelines. The company has urged the passengers to completely follow the health safety protocol.
