Manu Gurung from Manang district has successfully scaled Mount Aconcagua in Argentina.
Gurung on February 1 had left for Argentina to climb the 6,960-meter tall mountain. This is the tallest mountain in the continent of South America. Associated with mountain tourism for a long, Gurung has already climbed the Chulu West, Annapurna IV, Mira Peak, Phokalde, Lobuche, and Dhumpus peaks, said the Chairperson of Naso rural municipality, Dhan Bahadur Gurung.
An organization--Mountain Women of the World Network had helped 15 women from different countries to climb the mountain. However, only nine women successfully climbed Mt Aconcagua.
