Chairperson of Bhimad municipality-7, Surya Kumar Shrestha, said that this adventure sport, climbing the tree with the help of a rope, going from one tree to the next by hanging on the rope fixed at different places, would help promote domestic tourism.

Shrestha added, “We introduced tree climbing under a campaign to explore new destinations. We are confident that tree climbing activity will attract tourists.”

Five persons can climb a tree at a time and one can climb up to 30 meters above for the time being.

He claimed that though such type of sport was conducted as an indoor activity in other countries, its operation outdoors in the open might be first in Nepal.

The ward office had allocated Rs 250,000 in the current fiscal year for the same. View tower constructed at Pipalanda from where one can get a beautiful view of the different places and mountains, the park constructed at Pipaldanda, Jhingu Rangrung Newa Homestay, Rangrung Resort as well as indigenous art and culture are the main tourist attraction.
