Antigen testing for air passengers will not be mandatory in domestic flights. Earlier, the Council of Ministers had decided not to make such a provision mandatory in a meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday.
Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane, joint secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, informed the airline operators' association to circulated the news to its members.
According to the new decision, the passenger has to wear a double mask and a face shield is also not mandatory. But passengers must have a vaccination card whether the card itself or a picture on the phone.
The airline will have to make arrangements to measure the temperature of the passengers. At the time of passenger check-in, they will be asked if they have any symptoms of COVID or not.
