The Supreme Court has issued a show-cause order in the name of the government and sought a written response from it relating to the Advertisement Act which asks the media to seek approval from the Advertisement Board before publishing advertisements.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has appointed Chetan Adhikari as a member of Advertisement Board and Sabnam Mukhiya as member of Board of Director of NTV.
