Landslides in Nepal

As many as 111 people have so far lost their lives in the rain-induced incidents of floods, landslides, and inundation.

88 deaths have been reported till today morning after floods and landslides due to continuous rain, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA).

The government has declared Sindhupalchowk and Manang as disaster-hit districts for the time being until mid-October this year.

Landslides triggered by torrential rains have disrupted vehicular movement along 23 roads across the country in two days.

The monsoon has badly affected 26 districts including Sindhupalchowk and Manang since the first week of June.

A total of 13 roads have been obstructed while 28 others have been partially obstructed due to floods and landslides.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged all authorities concerned to work in a coordinated manner to prevent any further damage from floods and landslides in the country.
