Qatar Airways today resumed its flight operation to Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The flight QR1164 took off from Hamad International Airport at 13:45 (Qatar's local time) and safely landed at King Khalid International Airport at 15:10.

The flight was operated by Qatar Airways’ Airbus A350-1000 from the country's sole international airport.

Qatar Airways is also set to resume flights to Jeddah, another city in Saudi Arabia, on January 15. The flight QR1188 en route from Doha to Jeddah has been scheduled to take off at 18:50.

Likewise, Qatar Airways' another flight QR 1150 will fly to Dammam from Doha at 17:10, on Saturday, January 16.

With the resumption of flights, passengers from Saudi Arabia can once again enjoy the award-winning Qsuite, that features sliding privacy doors and the option to use a ‘Do Not Disturb (DND)’ indicator. The Qsuite seat layout is a 1-2-1 configuration, providing passengers with one of the most spacious, fully private, comfortable, and socially distanced products in the sky.

The national carrier of the State of Qatar continues to rebuild its network, which currently stands at over 110 destinations with plans to increase to over 125 by the end of March 2021.

Qatar Airways, a multiple award-winning airline, was named ‘World’s Best Airline’ by the 2019 World Airline Awards, managed by Skytrax. It is the only airline to have been awarded the coveted ‘Skytrax Airline of the Year’ title five times. The award is recognised as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry.

Likewise, Hamad International Airport (HIA), the airline’s home and hub, has recently been ranked ‘Third Best Airport in the World’, among 550 airports worldwide, by the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2020. Rising from the fourth position in 2019 to the third in 2020, HIA has been steadily climbing up in the ‘World's Best Airports’ rankings since 2014 when it started its operations.

Moreover, HIA was voted the ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ for the sixth year in a row and ‘Best Staff Service in the Middle East’ for the fifth year in a row.
