Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal has said that the government is committed to control the price rise. Speaking at a program organized here today on the occasion of the sixth foundation day of Godavari Municipality and the inauguration of the newly constructed administrative building, he said that it was difficult to run the daily kitchen due to high cost. He said that the municipality has worked well for the last five years. MP Nawaraj Silval said that the area was the Karnali of Kathmandu Valley in terms of development and construction, adding that the government should increase some investment for the area.

Chief of the municipality Gajendra Maharjan informed that the municipality is geographically large in the valley. He urged the head of government to provide compensation to the concerned persons as soon as possible for the 22-meter extension of Satdobato-Chapagaun and Satdobato-Harisiddhi roads entering the area. Deputy Chief Muna Adhikari expressed happiness that they have now been able to provide all services from one building. At the program, 14 ward chairpersons, executive members and staff were honored. The seven-storey building has been constructed in a state-of-the-art, original and artistic manner on the land provided by Vajravarahi Mav. About Rs 250 million has been spent for the construction of the building so far, said Milan Silval, spokesperson of the municipality.
