The stock trading gauge, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which has been on a downward trend for the past few days, has declined by double digits today as well. The index, which declined by 41.43 points on Sunday to 2,572.23, has dropped by 30.43 points to 2,541.83 today.
According to NEPSE, the indicator, as well as the transaction amount, has decreased. A total of 49,058,914 shares of 231 companies were bought and sold for Rs 2.54 billion today, according to NEPSE. A total of 89.23 million shares of 232 companies were bought and sold at a price of Rs 4.98 billion in NEPSE the previous day. According to NEPSE, today's market has declined by 1.18 per cent compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the Sensitive Index, which measures the trading volume of large companies, declined by 5.3 points to 474.09. This is 1.11 per cent less than the previous trading day.
