Nepali tea companies have participated in the 15th Coffee and Tea Festival held in New York, USA.
Nepali companies 'Nepali Tea' and 'Nepali Coffee 8848' participated in the festival held at the Brooklyn Expo Center in New York on Saturday and Sunday. According to the participants of the festival, there are many consumers who come to these tea shops and taste Nepali tea and coffee.
The participation of tea and coffee in the festival was coordinated by the office of the Consul General of Nepal in New York. Consul General Bishnu Gautam said that participation in such exhibitions would help increase access to international markets for tea and coffee produced in the hilly regions of Nepal.
He said that the international market for tea and coffee is very competitive and it is important for the entrepreneurs in Nepal to focus on organic production.
Nischal Banskota, the founder of Nepal T LLC, who has been promoting and managing the tea produced in Nepal in the US for the past six years, says that participating in the festival has helped in the promotion of Nepali tea.
Banskota, who has been participating in tea and coffee related exhibitions organized in different states of the United States, says that Nepal has a good market for organic tea and consumer demand is increasing in it.
He said, "The demand for Nepali tea in the US market is increasing day by day, but we have more consumers than ever before."
He said that he was taking initiative to bring the organic tea produced by Nepali farmers directly to the consumers in the US market.
