Forex: US dollar stable as other currency rates shift

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the foreign currency exchange rates today (Monday). The values for the US dollar and Bahraini dinar remain relatively stable.

However, there has been a decrease in the exchange rates for several foreign currencies, such as the Euro, Kuwaiti Dinar, Australian Dollar, and Pound.

While some currencies like the Euro and Pound have appreciated today, others, including the Australian Dollar and Kuwaiti Dinar, have depreciated.

As per the rates published by the Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at 134 rupees 21 paisa, with a selling rate of 134 rupees 81 paisa, consistent with yesterday’s and this morning’s rates.

Today, the buying rate for one Euro is 146 rupees 84 paisa, while the selling rate is 146 rupees 49 paisa. This reflects an increase from yesterday’s buying rate of 145 rupees 54 paisa and selling rate of 146 rupees 19 paisa.

The buying rate for one pound sterling is established at 175 rupees 16 paisa, with a selling rate of 175 rupees 95 paisa today, compared to yesterday’s buying rate of 175 rupees 07 paisa and selling rate of 175 rupees 85 paisa.

For one Australian dollar, the buying rate is set at 90 rupees 01 paisa, while the selling rate is 90 rupees 42 paisa, slightly down from yesterday’s rates of 90 rupees 05 paisa for buying and 90 rupees 46 paisa for selling.

Furthermore, the buying rate for one Kuwaiti dinar remains at 437 rupees 92 paisa, with a selling rate of 439 rupees 88 paisa, nearly unchanged from yesterday's buying rate of 437 rupees 94 paisa and selling rate of 439 rupees 89 paisa.

Meanwhile, the buying rate for one Bahraini dinar is fixed at 355 rupees 98 paisa, with a selling rate of 357 rupees 57 paisa, which has not changed since yesterday.
