Hike in fuel prices

The government has increased the price of petroleum products with effect from this midnight. 

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased by Rs 25 per cylinder to reach Rs 1,400.

Likewise, the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene has become dearer by Rs 2 per litre.

The new rate of petrol will now be Rs. 112 per litre while diesel and kerosene will cost Rs.95 per litre. 

The price of aviation turbine fuel remains the same.

The price has been increased following an increase by the Indian Oil Corporation that supplies fuel to Nepal Oil Corporation, said a statement issued by the NOC on Wednesday evening.
