Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu has said that a scientific solution will be sought for the problems of price rise in petroleum products, easy supply and transportation fare while simultaneously keeping the interest of general consumers in the center. This was stated by Minister Badu while holding discussions with the representatives of various organizations working in the field of petroleum products at the Minister's residence in Pulchowk.
Stating that the global crisis in the field of petroleum products has affected Nepal as well, Minister Badu said that the government is working for scientific management. Stating that the government has been positive towards the demand of petroleum and transporters, he said that the consumers should be assured that the recent problems in the supply of petroleum products would be resolved.
Representatives of the Nepal LP Gas Industries Association, the Federation of Nepal Petroleum Transportation and the Petroleum Dealers Association jointly drew the attention of the Minister for the recent problems and solutions.
The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has been increasing the price of petroleum products saying that the price of petroleum products has increased recently from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). Entrepreneurs were agitated, saying that the corporation has not increased the commission paid to the entrepreneurs by increasing the consumer price.
