Hyundai I20 wins 2021 Indian Car of the Year Award

The Third-gen Hyundai i20 has been named as the winner of the 2021 Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) Award.

The Third-gen Hyundai i20 has been named as the winner of the 2021 Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) Award. 

The new Hyundai i20 took top honors in its category with 104 points from the jury, the Kia Sonet followed in second with 91 points, and the new Mahindra Thar in third with 78 points.

Each of the judges scored the contenders on 25 points. The points are distributed among the top-five shortlisted models, with each jury member announcing their winner for each category, the results of which are collaborated to decide the actual winner.

This panel of judges consists of experienced automotive journalists from the biggest automotive publications in India.

Representing the Hyundai i20, SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd said, “It is a moment of great pride for all of us at Hyundai. We are honoured to win this most prestigious automotive award – ‘Indian Car of the Year 2021' for the all-new i20.
