Movie halls run smoothly after reopening

After a really long time, movie halls reopened on October 7, 2021. The halls returned back to business screening popular movie franchise Fast & Furious 9, dubbed in both English and Hindi, Nepali movie Dada ko Barpipal’ and No Time to Die (3D).

“We are receiving a lot of positive responses from customers”, says Deepesh Sharma, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Big Movies. “We are expecting better turnouts of audiences once the new sets of movies are released”, he adds.

The response of audiences at QFX Cinemas was also promising. They reopened with Hollywood movies. CEO Roshan Adiga says “I believe the increase in audience depends on the quality of the movie. I have no doubt that the turn out will increase as other movies are released.”

All cinema halls strictly follow COVID precaution rules. Masks are mandatory inside and outside halls. Social distancing is maintained throughout. Sanitizers are made available in different places such as ticket counters, food counters, toilets and halls. These places are also disinfected after every show.

Big Movies also provide a small emergency kit for their audiences. The kit consists of masks, gloves and two satchels of sanitizers. "Masks are mandatory inside and outside the halls. For those who do not have masks with them, we provide this kit", Sharma says.

"We prefer online payments over cash payments to minimize physical contact", he adds. Big Movies has also switched to a digital food menu where customers need to scan a QR code to access the menu. 


Venom: Let there be Carnage is also releasing in Nepali movie screens on October 29, 2021. Starring actors like Tom Hardy, Mitchell Williams, Reid Scott and many more, this movie is based on Marvel Comics.


The Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer movie Sooryavanshi (5th Novembe, 2021), will be screened at cinema halls in the next set. Sooryavanshi directed by Rohit Shetti includes actors like Ranveer Singh and Jackie Shroff.

 

American epic superhero film, Eternals is based on the Marvel Comics race of the same name. It is the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film is directed by Chloé Zhao, and stars Angelina Jolie, Brian Tyree, Richard Madden and many more.
