Speaking at an event organized by ICANN, an organization of chartered accountants, on Wednesday, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Maha Prasad Adhikari said it was wrong to assume the state of the nation simply by the state of the economy.
He said that only the last one of the four major sectors of the economy will be looked after by the Nepal Rastra Bank.
Governor Adhikari said that the four regions have separate roles and coordination between the four regions.
He also said that the credit growth rate will remain within the target in the current fiscal year. Nepal Rastra Bank had set a target of 19 percent credit growth through monetary policy. He said that even if it reaches 32 percent in the middle of the current fiscal year, it will not be so at the end of the year.
"Debt flow has reached 32 percent, but now it will be below 19 percent at the end of the year," said the governor.
