Most people are increasingly entering urban areas in search of education, employment and opportunities. Most of the people are leaving rural areas from hilly districts, Palpa, Gulmi and Arghakhanchi and moving to urban areas including Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Nawalparasi in search of opportunities.

Santosh Raj Nepal of Ribdikot Gaonpalika-2 Laghuwa of the district has become an example of not having to travel to cities and abroad to earn a lot of money but working in rural areas. Returning to the village, he has now been able to provide employment to others by running a resort, farming and animal husbandry business. Due to the lack of opportunities from the rural settlements, the attractiveness of the youth in the urban areas has increased and the houses in the villages have become empty.

Santosh Raj Nepal of the same place returned to his father's village four years ago. Returning to the village with the slogan 'Let's build our own village', he is now engaged in resort, agriculture and animal husbandry business. Lemon, lychee, radish and greens have been cultivated in 40 ropanis of land. Lychee and lemon are being produced in Face Valley Agro Farm Pvt. He said that he has earned Rs. 4 lakh from radish alone this year.

Even in hard-working villages, the environment for earning ample income is much wider than in urban areas. Nepal said that in order to earn money in urban areas, it is necessary to compete hard and invest more. He informed that there is a small investment in agriculture, animal husbandry and hotel business in rural areas and working environment without competition.

There are resorts and advanced breeds of goats and local breeds of poultry business near Nepal's agricultural farms. Although people living in rural areas are now displaced from the livestock business, Nepal has earned Rs 200,000 from 200 local breed of chickens and Rs 400,000 from advanced breed of goats this year.

Deepak Pandey of Syangja was attracted to agriculture nd animal husbandry during the Corona epidemic. Returning to Deurali in Ribdikot village from Kailashnagar of Tansen Municipality, he has been selling 40 liters of milk daily from four buffaloes and two cows. Pandey has been earning Rs.10,00,000 He has been producing vegetables commercially along with cows and goats. Pandey, who has constructed the structure for the operation of the resort at a cost of 75 Lakhs has stated that everything was ready to be in operation until corona hit the business.

The notion of earning an income by entering the city in search of economic opportunities is now slowly disappearing. In the field of agriculture and animal husbandry, most of the youths have returned from abroad and are active in earning income at home. In recent years, the number of urban dwellers returning to the rural areas to run agriculture and animal husbandry and resorts has increased, which has opened the door to ample income in the rural areas as well.

Chairman of the village municipality Narayan Bahadur GC said that a grant has been provided in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry to provide employment and self-employment to the people of rural areas. He informed that better progress has been made in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry than before and the village is gradually becoming self-reliant in vegetables, meat and milk.
