Sunil Kumar Pokharel has been appointed as chief executive officer (CEO) of Civil Bank Limited.
The 345th meeting of the bank's board of directors on Thursday took a decision in this regard. The tenure of Pokharel is four years. Pokharel, who earlier served as deputy CEO of the bank, replaced Gobinda Gurung, who resigned as bank CEO on May 1.
The board’s decision will come into effect on July 2.
Having entered banking service in 1991, Pokharel earlier worked for NIC Asia Bank, Nabil Bank, Standard Charters Bank, and Myanmar-based Asian Green Development Bank.
