President Poudel urged to reduce carbon emissions and join in building infrastructure
President Ramchandra Paudel has said that construction professionals will play an important role in making the economy sustainable. At the opening ceremony of the 46th IFAPCA conference, President Paudel said that physical infrastructure plays an important role in the economic development of every country. He said that those who work in the field of physical infrastructure need to take special precautions in order to deal with natural disasters that are increasing due to climate change.
He said - 'Physical infrastructure plays an important role in the economic development of any country. In order to deal with the increasing natural calamities due to climate change, it is necessary for those involved in the field of physical infrastructure to take special precautions.’
He reminded that the Secretary General of the United Nations, who recently visited Nepal, has given high importance to the agenda of climate change, and urged everyone to reduce carbon emissions and build infrastructure in harmony with nature. He mentioned that when the world has become technology-friendly, the field of physical infrastructure should also make technology-friendly practices more comprehensive.
