The 55th meeting of the Board of Investment held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Investment Pushpa Kamal Dahal has approved the investment worth a total of 36 billion 37 crore rupees for four hydropower projects (Rolwaling Khola, Chujung Khola, Dana Khola and Saniveri Hydropower Project).
The meeting has decided to form a high-level committee to review the current progress regarding the implementation of the Tamor Reservoir Hydropower Project and submit suggestions regarding the future direction of the project.
Similarly, it has decided to give a study permit to Dolma Himalayan Energy for the study of a solar energy project of 245 MW and 20 MW battery capacities in Rajpur rural municipality of Dang district.
The Prime Minister instructed all related agencies to conduct more studies/analysis so that the project cost of hydropower projects can be bankable in the future, to strengthen the necessary coordination for the timely completion of the projects under implementation, and to shorten the investment approval and project implementation processes, to perform quick and result-oriented work.
