Ron DeSantis, intensified their battle with Facebook, Twitter and Silicon Valley when they announced new proposals Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, aimed at reigning in platforms they accuse of squelching the free speech of conservatives. On a call with analysts the week before, Zuckerberg said the social media giant was attempting to “turn down the temperature and discourage divisive conversations and communities.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has lost about 6 billion. This is said to be the result of Facebook being shut down for about 6 hours. As a result, he has slipped one place from the list of billionaires in the world.

Zuckerberg's fortune has shrunk to 121.6 billion since Monday's incident, surpassed by Bill Gates' 124 billion. Earlier, Mark Zuckerberg was ranked fourth in the list of the richest people in the world and now he is ranked fifth.

Although the exact reason why Facebook was shut down is not public, it is said that it was shut down due faulty configuration change. In addition, there is a problem in the internal network of the company. Along with Facebook, its sister organizations Instagram and WhatsApp were also shut down for six hours.
