Deputy Mayor Hari Prabha Khadgi decided to boycott the meeting of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office with other elected local representatives of the Nepali Congress. The deputy mayor informed that they had boycotted the meeting as a protest against Mayor Bidhya Sundar Shakya’s plans to announce the policies and programmes for the next fiscal year today.
Thirteen ward chairpersons have boycotted the meeting.
Mayor Shakya had called for the meeting of the local representatives at 11 am where he also planned to announce the policies and programmes for next fiscal year 2078/79.
