Fares have been adjusted for public transport in Bagmati. The fare adjustment has increased the fare of public transport in this state including Kathmandu Valley from Thursday.
According to the new fare, the minimum fare for public transport within the Kathmandu Valley up to five kilometers has reached Rs.20 Earlier, the minimum was Rs 18. Passengers are forced to pay Rs 20 even though the minimum fare is Rs 18. Similarly, you will have to pay Rs 25 for 10 kilometers, Rs 30 for 15 kilometers, Rs 33 for 20 kilometers, and Rs 38 for 20 kilometers.
Similarly, the initial minimum fare for taxis has been fixed at Rs 50 and Rs 10 per meter. The waiting fee is fixed at Rs 20 per minute. You can wait up to 30 minutes at most. The rate for night taxis running from 9 pm to 4 am has been fixed at Rs 13 per meter.
In the last fare adjustment, it has been said that the fare will be adjusted for the vehicles operating in the states where the market price of petroleum products is five percent or more or less than the base price. The fare has been adjusted as per the decision of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Transport Management of Bagmati Pradesh. The ministry has stated that the card will be used to make cashless public transport in the new fiscal year along with the fare adjustment.
