The International Network of Nepali Journalists (INJA) has decided to present the Investigative Journalism Award to journalist duo Matrika Dahal and Tara Wagle this year.
The prize selection committee coordinated by senior journalist Tirtha Koirala decided to do this regard.
Dahal who had begun journalism in 2064BS has been writing on the issues of good governance, public administration, domestic and international security, crime, and public interest. Currently associated with the Kantipur daily, Dahal has worked at Dibya Darshan and Rahasya weeklies, and Karobar and Nagarik dailies.
Similarly, Wagle is active in journalism for 15 years and has reported extensively on discrimination and violence against women, and public administration. She is currently at www.ins.news. She has work experience with Rajdhani and Nepal Samacharpatra dailies and Himal fortnightly.
Both of them will be awarded a cash prize of each Rs 50,000 amidst a function to be organized on March 1, the INJA anniversary.
