The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Office will soon start administering vaccines against the coronavirus among people in between 60 and 64 years of age. It has issued a notice stating that it will start administering the first dose of the vaccine. The KMC will be using the Chinese made Vero Cell vaccine.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office has urged the concerned people to visit the nearest ward office for the purpose. According to the KMC, people who are 64 years old will be administered the vaccine on June 8. Similarly, people who are 63 years old will be provided the vaccine on June 9, and 62-year olds on June 10. Meanwhile, those who are 61 years old will be administered the vaccine on June 11 and 60-year-old people on June 12.

The KMC has asked people to visit their respective vaccination centres as per the dates issued by it. It has also asked people to carry government-issued identification cards that clearly mention their date of birth or a recommendation letter from their respective ward offices.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office has also urged people who were infected with COVID-19 not to take the vaccine if the date of the vaccine is within one month of them being infected.
