Kathmandu Valley getting colder every day

For the past few days, the temperature in Kathmandu Valley has been dropping day by day. According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, the temperature in the valley has been falling by one to two degrees Celsius daily since last Friday.

Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar of the department said that the rise in the cold was not due to any system but due to the weather. "The temperature will continue to drop from December to January 20," he said. It is said that the maximum temperatures in Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country have started decreasing at the rate of one to two degrees Celsius daily.

Today, the temperature in Kathmandu Valley has dropped to less than 4.3 degrees Celsius. The temperature in the valley on Sunday was 5.0 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists estimate that the temperature in the valley will drop to zero degrees soon.

Currently, the weather is generally clear in other parts of the country with partial to moderate change in the rest of the hilly areas including the eastern parts of Province No. 1 and 2 and the western parts of Province 5. The weather will be clear in Lumbini, Gandaki, and Bagmati districts on Tuesday.

According to the latest details of the Weather Forecast Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is 4.3 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 19.3 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Jumla is -4.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum in Simara is 24.9 degrees Celsius.
