Kathmandu Metropolitan City has passed a proposal to increase fuel expenditure by Rs 35 million.
A proposal to increase the budget of the municipal executive sitting on Tuesday has been passed. Now it will have to be approved by the Municipal Council.
In the current Fiscal Year, 100 million budget was allocated for fuel. But as it ended in April, a proposal to add Rs 35 million for three months has been submitted, which has been passed.
At the meeting, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 15, Ishwar Man Dangol, said that they should think about reducing fuel consumption. But Chief Administrative Officer Loknath Poudel said fuel was consumed within the limits.
