Massive blood donation by Lions Club

The Lions Club has organized a blood donation program in the capital at a time when there is a shortage of blood across the country. A blood donation program has been organized in Sorakhutte of Kathmandu today under the joint project of Lions Club of Kathmandu Heritage Tower and New Bazaar.

 Lions International Club Director Bal Krishna Burlakoti, Lions Multiple Chairperson Mohan Rokka, Former District Governor Rajan Lamsal, Cluster 29 Chairperson Shiva Sharma Poudel, Region 60 Chairman Netra prasad Guragain, Zone 121 Chairman Anil Kumar Thapa, Lions Club of Kathmandu Heritage Shrestha Day Chartered President of New Bazaar of Kathmandu Hassan Gopali and other high ranking guests of Lions District were present.

 Director of Lions International Club Burlakoti, Multiple Chairperson Rokka and former District Governor Lamsal handed over certificates to the dignitaries participating in the blood donation program. Forty-three pints of blood was collected, said Shakti Shrestha, president of Lions Club Heritage Tower. The Lions Club has been collecting blood and donating it to Kantipur Hospital and Bir Hospital in the Kathmandu Valley.

 Ganesh GC, president of Lions Club Naya Bazaar, said that the blood donation program was organized so that no one would have to die due to lack of blood. The Lions Club of Kathmandu Heritage Tower Club, which has been distributing free blood, food and relief to the poor, helpless and disabled people in various hospitals during the global epidemic, claims that it is winning the hearts of the people by organizing various programs. The Lions Club of Kathmandu Heritage Tower has been the best performing club under Lions Club's Cluster 29, Region 60, Zone 121.
