Ending a weeklong wrangling between the officials of Lalitpur District Court and lawyers, the two sides have settled the issue by withdrawing the protest programmes from both the sides.
The negotiation was mediated by the Office bearers of Lalitpur Bar Association and officials of the District Court on Thursday. Police had held lawyer Amir Lamichhane after court's official Premika Tamang lodged an application at the police on charges of beating and misconduct.
Superintendent of Police (SP) of Lalitpur Nabaraj Karki said that Lamichhane has been released after meeting all the formal processes. After the incident, both the sides had staged protests which had affected the services from the court as well.
As agreed on Thursday, the two sides would rejoin their duties by ending all sorts of misunderstandings after realizing that the issue was diverted to something else.
Likewise, agreement has been made to maintain harmonious relations between the Lalitpur District Court and Lalitpur Bar Association.
