Police arrested seven persons for gambling in a party palace in Satungal of Chandragiri Municipality-11, Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrested has been identified as Raju Shrestha (54), resident of Chandragiri Municipality-11 and proprietor of Chandragiri Party Palace, and six others whose names have not been disclosed.
Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Balambu-based Metropolitan Police Circle raided the party palace and nabbed them. The security personnel also recovered Rs 57, 775 cash as stake money and three decks of cards from their possession.
Further investigation into the case is underway, Metropolitan Police Circle informed.
