Ninety-five films from 35 different countries have been selected for the sixth Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF). The festival is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from March 16-20.
At a news conference organized by Nepal Film and Cultural Academy here on Wednesday, NIFF Chair KP Pathak shared that out of 500 films from 55 countries, 95 films have been selected.
Fourteen awards in seven categories of national and international short and long movies, documentaries, and animated films would be distributed at the festival. Different workshops and interactions would also be organized.
Saying the festival would provide an opportunity to promote the Nepali festival at an international level, the Chairperson of the Nepal Film Development Board, Bhuwan KC, expressed commitment to provide possible support.
