Committee formed to celebrate National Unity Day

A committee comprising officials of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, Nepal Sangeet-Natya Pragya-Pratishthan, Nepal Lalitakala Pragya-Pratishthan, and Cultural Institute has been formed to celebrate the 300th Earth Jubilee and National Unity Day-2078 BS (2022).

Narayan Bhakta Shrestha 'Ryan', Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, Kancha Kumar Karmacharya, Vice-Chancellors of all three Pragya-Pratishthan, Jagman Gurung, Harihar Sharma, and Gopal Chitrakar, Shyamprakash Tamot and Vipin Ghimire, secretaries of Pragya-Pratishthan and Lalitakala Pragya-Pratishthan respectively, Prem Nath Adhikari, president, general manager of the cultural institute, Prem Nath Adhikari and Ashok Pyasi Rai, and Prof. Jagat Prasad Upadhyay, secretary of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan are in the managerial committee.

According to the foundation, the meeting decided to jointly organize a seminar on the occasion of Earth Day and National Unity Day under the leadership of Prithvi Narayan Shah with the participation of different communities in the unification of Nepal, book exhibition, painting exhibition, and cultural programs.

In order to make the program systematic and effective, the meeting will organize a book exhibition and painting exhibition on January 9, a symposium on January 11, a procession with various ethnic and cultural pageants in the morning, and a wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah. It has also been decided that the management of the symposium and procession will be done by the Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, the painting exhibition will be managed by the Fine Arts Pragya-Pratishthan and the cultural program will be managed by the Music and Drama Pragya-Pratishthan and the Cultural Institute.
