With abortion deemed illegal, prices of contraceptive in Venezuela are pretty high. It is said that price of a packet of condoms is Rs 96,000.
Despite being so expensive, there are large crowds of people outside drug stores and condom stores. Not only condoms but the prices of contraceptive pills has skyrocketed in Venezuela.
According to the United Nations World Population Report 2015, Venezuela had the highest number of teenage pregnancies.
According to the news, some people spend about half of their monthly salary on buying contraceptives like condoms and pills.
