Decision to boycott Russian films at Cannes Festival and Emmy Awards

 War is raging between Ukraine and Russia. Russia's entertainment industry has also been affected by the fighting. After Disney and Netflix, the now-famous Emmy Awards and Cannes Film Festival have also announced a boycott of Russian films.

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, or Emmy Award 2022, has decided to boycott Russian films. Amy has decided not to nominate a Russian-funded film. 

The Emmy Awards posted information on social media stating that it is not allowed to participate in any business affiliated with the Russian government and run on its investment. According to Amy, all Russian films were disqualified in this year's edition.

The world-renowned Cannes Film Festival, including the Emmy, has also announced a boycott of Russian films. Cannes has decided not to welcome the Russian delegation to the May edition of Cannes.

It is also mentioned that Russian films will not be allowed to participate in Cannes until the end of the war. Disney has also decided not to release its big movie Turning Red in Russia. Earlier, Warner Bros. also postponed the Russian release of The Batman.
