Radisson Hotel Kathmandu held a fruit soaking ceremony on November 13, 2022 to ring in the joyous season of Christmas. The event held at Terrace Garden, an outdoor venue located on the fourth floor, was started by the General Manager, Mr Subrata Banerjee and led by the Executive Chef, Sunal Thakur; briefing its history, and procedures to mix the fruits.
In the presence of a group of dynamic ladies the soaking of ingredients for the special Christmas celebration begins. The infusion of dry fruits, spices, herbs and grains were soaked in premium alcoholic spirits like wine, beer, rum and whisky.
It is believed that fruits should be soaked and mixed more than a month prior to getting the authentic taste and flavor of Christmas cake. The ceremony was followed by a delicious feast prepared by the hotel’s chef.
