The Pakistan - Nepal friendship festival, organized by Centre for Asian Studies and Mahakali Dance Council in collaboration with Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day of Pakistan, concluded in Bhaktapur on Saturday.
The event that kicked off on Wednesday involved more than 700 students of 30 schools of Bhaktapur who competed in essay writing, handwriting, painting competition, and cultural dances.
At a closing ceremony today, chief guest, Pakistan's Charge d' Affaires Umair Ali and special guest Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music & Drama, Nisha Sharma Pokharel distributed prizes to the winners.
On the occasion, they highlighted persisting cordial relations between Nepal and Pakistan and also expressed their belief that such programme would help further consolidate the people-to-people relations of the two countries. ---
